grafx2 software package provides ultimate 256-color bitmap paint program, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grafx2
grafx2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grafx2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grafx2 *
You will get with grafx2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
